Salaries are as per NHM norms and the ATF scheme, and may be revised as per prevailing Uttarakhand NHM norms subject to funding agency approval.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Counsellor: Graduate in Psychology, Social Work, or Sociology (a Master's degree in the same disciplines is preferable).
  • Nurse: ANM qualification (GNM or BSc Nursing preferred).
  • Data Manager: Graduate degree, preferably with qualification or experience in computer applications.
  • Any experience claimed must have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
  • Prescribed qualifications are the minimum requirement — possessing them alone does not guarantee selection.

Roles & Responsibilities

Counsellor

  • Assist the medical officer in patient assessment and diagnosis.
  • Provide initial counselling and motivation enhancement to patients.
  • Conduct one-to-one and group psychosocial sessions with patients and families.
  • Undertake field visits and provide referral services as needed.
  • Conduct community awareness activities and liaise with NGOs to encourage help-seeking behaviour.

Nurse

  • Dispense medications as prescribed by the doctor and maintain related records.
  • Provide first aid in the absence of the medical doctor.
  • Maintain stock management records.

Data Manager

  • Register new and follow-up patients, and maintain clinical files.
  • Prepare monthly reports and assist in maintaining stock and account records.

Contract Terms You Should Know

  • Appointment is purely temporary/contractual for 11 months from the date of joining, terminable by either side with one month's notice.
  • Engagement may be extended as per ATF scheme policy, but does not entitle any right to regular appointment or permanent absorption at AIIMS.
  • Selected candidates are employed under the ATF Scheme Project (Department of Psychiatry) and are not direct employees of AIIMS Rishikesh.
  • No travelling or other allowances are paid for the interview or joining.
  • Appointment is full-time; private or any other type of practice is prohibited.
  • Candidates already employed elsewhere must produce a Relieving Certificate before joining.
