Eligibility Criteria

  • A PhD in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Ceramic Engineering, with good quality publications.
  • Good knowledge of corrosion and wear behavior of metallic materials.
  • Good knowledge of biomaterials and bioimplant applications.
  • Familiarity with various materials characterization techniques for structural and biomaterials research.
  • Recently submitted your PhD thesis but not yet awarded the degree? You're still eligible to apply — just be ready to furnish proof of the PhD award at the time of interview, if shortlisted.

Fellowship Amount & Duration

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 80,000 per month, plus HRA as per applicable rules, for a duration of 11 months. A separate contingency grant of Rs. 50,000 per annum is also provided to support research expenses. The fellowship may be terminated by either side with one month's notice.
